I found some local Christmas cheer in the Fishermen's Terminal this season on a recent trip thru Ballard. Kudos to the M/V Maximo for going the distance on the Christmas spirit. Happy Holidays!
This is my most recent video from my squid fishing adventure in California. The edit doesn't have too much crew footage, but I have a ton of GoPro 4 data to play around with for another crew remix. The video was shot and edited completely on the iPhone 6 with the new Replay App that was showcased at Macworld this fall. Make sure to wait for the HD To buffer. The lighting effects are best viewed under 1080.
Two Words. Plunger Cam! Folks, we may have just reached the pinnacle in commercial fishing entertainment. I'm actually kinda surprised that it's taken this long to see a Plunger Cam, but I like it. Dayton Wagner delivers some really cool steady shots and some unique perspectives in this edit. Look for this video and many others in our upcoming Commercial Fishing Film Fest. Our sister site, http://www.fishfilmfest.com hosts thousands of hours of multiple fisheries. In November we will be annoucing details on the upcoming festival.
The harbor in Ventura, California is a real treat for any weary fishermen who has been stuck in too many dismal rainy ports of call. The beauty of Ventura Harbor is the touristy village that bustles with numerous restuarants, bars, and retail stores. The massive harbor is a nice mix of pleasure craft and commercial fishing boats. Did I mention that it's minutes away from surfing? Ventura Harbor is a fishermen's dream come true. If you are ever in the area, make sure to check it out.
Oh yes! Drone footage and awesome daylight squid fishing in Monteray, California. As always, Jason Crosby delivers a slick edit of the 2014 squid season, from the deck of the Ocean Angel II. Be sure to tune into http://www.fishfilmfest.com for all of the latest and great commercial fishing videos from the 2014 cycle. New updates are coming to the site and we will be annoucing our winter film tour in November.
What an office view? The scenery is amazing in this short video. Stay tuned for massive glaciers, a salmon eating dog, and tons of Alaska style web entertainment. Check out http://www.fishfilmfest.com for upcoming details on the festival.
