All this week I'll be in our nation's Capitol getting my feet wet with the political process. I'll have more info on my current project as the week develops. As for now, enjoy some scenery from Capitol Hill.

PhotoWalk | Fishermen’s Terminal At Night

The Fishermen’s Terminal is nestled just below the Ballard Bridge in Seattle.  It’s a mini Alaskan fishing world all of its own, surrounded by a vast city.  I had a nice stroll the other evening and shot these awesome photos. Enjoy! We will be heading north on Tuesday.  Its time to start the season.  Follow me @JuneauTek for my mobile updates.

PhotoWalk | Juneau Maritime Festival 2012

The Juneau Maritime Festival just turned three this past weekend.  The event was initially canceled the previous week, yet many locals and tourists  turned out for the free salmon!  That’s right!  Fresh FREE Sockeye salmon courtesy of Alaska Glacier Seafoods.  There were also various tours of local marine vessels and native traditional dancing.   Overall, it was a big success.  Enjoy the pics.

PhotoWalk | Fishermen’s Terminal Spring 2012

Once is warm enough to get outside, its time for boat work. Seattle was no exception this spring and I even found a break in the usually dismal weather for some nice photo opportunities.  Ill be launching the Spring Fever | Get In Gear Contest in the next coming weeks and we will have a number of great giveaways and reviews on new tech.

PhotoWalk | Juneau Harbor And UAS Diesel Tech Center

Last Saturday, I was lucky enough to enjoy some of our amazing sunny weather we have had recently in Juneau.  Initially, I was headed down to the UAS Tech Center to check out the free marine diesel seminar, but I decided to capitalize on some great lighting in harbor too.   So, here is a really weird photowalk of boats, harbors, and all things diesel.  Enjoy!

PhotoWalk | Juneau Glacier Jan 2012

Its been clear and cold in Gastineau Channel the past few days.  Even though, the temperatures are bone-chillingly cold, Juneau locals are excited to get out and absorb their rare dose of wintertime vitamin D.  The entire lake in front of the glacier froze over, allowing for awesome pics of glacier ice.  At times, it felt like an alien world out there.  Its always hard to shake the idea that the ice could break at any given moment.  Still the photos were worth it.  I’m loving the new Sony Nex.
