Deadliest Catch crews back at it again.

As the traditional snow crab season gets under way, quotas for the spider-like delicacy are up compared to last year, a state biologist said.

The individual fishing quota for the majority of the fleet is 48,852,900 pounds, with the community development quota at 5,428,100 pounds.

The total 54,281,000 pounds is up from last year’s 48 million pound quota, but down from the 58.5 million pound limit of two years ago.
